[Audio post. Kurt put off this message for a while, until he felt he could speak without wavering, but it needed to be said. He still sounds a little choked up, but he's trying to mask it with anger.]

I don't know what happened to make me forget about my real family, but I don't intend to stay here long enough to have it happen a second time. Everyone else can keep playing house if they want to, but I'm done with this Lewis Carrol-inspired nightmare.

Rachel? For once, you were right. We need to figure out a way to leave this place immediately.

I deeply apologize for the discomfort I had caused by acting like a relative during the last event, Ku..Hummel-san.

...No, Kurt is still fine. I'm sorry. I'm not very close to my real grandparents anyway, so you didn't do anything wrong.

aww that face is so ;o;

Thank you, Kurt-san.

It...still must have been awkward to have a stranger act as your grandparent...
From: [identity profile] thisisherson.livejournal.com
Just a little, but only after the fact. I'm...fairly positive no one in my real family is Japanese, and then suddenly for a few days my grandfather was literally as Japanese as you can possibly get.

But I had fun with you and Pikachu. I think it's the only good thing I have to look back on from that mess.

yuss

It was interesting to have so many grandchildrens of various ethnicity as well.

I still have the pictures if you would like some.
From: [identity profile] thisisherson.livejournal.com
You had a lot of grandchildren, too. Excuse my forwardness, but are you really old enough for that? Because if so, time has been very, very kind to you, physically speaking.

Really? How did they come out? I'd love copies, absolutely.

pfffft oh Kurt

I consider all my citizens my family, but I never really had any "grandchildren" before. But ah, yes. I am quite old, even compared to other countries. Although China-san looks quite young for his age too.

They came out wonderfully. I will print them out and bring copies.

Great! Thanks, Japan. I really appreciate it.

No, thank you as well, Kurt-san. I enjoyed the photo shoot greatly.

Try me.

It was exactly as spectacular as I was hoping it would be. We should do another one at some point. You make a great photographer.

Even I have forgotten the exact years but... I will say around 2,500 years old. Probably older considering the Jomon pottery...

Thank you, Kurt-san. You make a wonderful fashion choreographer as well. I would love to do another one with you.

Of course. Being that age is one thing, but keeping your youth for that long without the use of some type of product is simply impossible.

Obviously I was right, it surprises me that it took you this long to figured it out.

And as...interesting as it was to have you as my brother, I really do prefer my family at home, too.

Well, Rachel, like any good celebrity making their comeback, I had to hit absolute rock bottom first.

I agree. I'm fine without siblings, or without Ms. Pillsbury filling in as my mother. I don't want to put myself in a position where my real family will be forgotten again.

Just remember,

[Imagine it with singing. The original from Carousel is kind of..operatic, almost, if you've never heard it.

When you walk through a storm
Keep your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At he end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

I'm a bit of a different case. Leavin' here for me means a completely different thing than it does for you, son.

Don't worry too much, you'll get back home soon enough.

All things considered, this is one'a the least cruel events so far. I'd consider yourself lucky you remember your own family at all, with the way this place like t'work.

[A long pause. His voice is quieter when he speaks again.]

I'm confident you don't want t'know, son.

Funny, that still sounds like a reason to want to leave immediately. I haven't heard much about these...events, though. If this is one of the least cruel, then the others must really be horrifying.

...That's rather ominous-sounding. I-I guess I'll have to take your word for it.

Luck'a the draw, really. There was one where we all had wings for a few days. Not bad, just ... odd. Depends on what mood the mansion's in, I guess.

Not everyone around here is as lucky as you are, son. Just keep that in mind.
